Living in Garden Patio Villas is more than just having a roof over our heads; it’s about being part of a shared vision. We all take pride in our quiet streets and well-maintained villas. However, there is a practical side to community living that affects everyone’s checkbook: the way the Board must handle HOA violations.
Because we are a close-knit community, we prefer to handle things neighbor-to-neighbor. Unlike many other HOAs, Garden Patio Villas does not have a fining committee. While this keeps our atmosphere friendlier, it also means we have fewer “middle-ground” options when a violation goes unaddressed.
When a violation isn’t corrected after the initial friendly reminders and a violation letter, the Board of Directors is eventually left with only one path to protect the community’s standards: referring the matter to the Association’s attorney.
Here is why that matters to you and your neighbors:
We understand that life happens. Sometimes a busy schedule, a family emergency, or a physical setback makes it hard to keep up with home maintenance.
The Board would much rather talk to you than a lawyer.
If you receive a text or official letter, please don’t view it as a confrontation—view it as an invitation to chat. If you need more time or are having trouble finding a contractor, reach out to the Board immediately!
How You Can Help
Let’s work together to keep Garden Patio Villas a beautiful, harmonious, and financially affordable place to call home. By looking out for our individual villas, we are looking out for each other’s pockets, also.
