Garden Patio Villas has always had a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is mandatory to run a Homeowners Association (HOA) per Florida Statutes 720.
We are a self-managed HOA which requires the Board to do a lot of difficult work so it can run smoothly as well as work as a legal non-profit corporation. The Board runs as the acting management company and saves all Members thousands of dollars! While acting as a management company, our Board Member gets paid for approximately 5-20 hours a week for completing Board Officer tasks, per our Bylaws.
If our HOA begins to use a Management company, their pay would immediately stop and our HOA would pay the Management Company thousands of dollars each month.
